- Developed by veterinarians serving the British Royal Court. Instructions for use Do not apply too much Reducine® at once – a quantity sufficient to moisten the skin is adequate. Trim the coat in the area where you wish to apply the product and massage the paste in thoroughly by hand or with a small brush. Repeat the application until the skin shows signs of cracking or flaking. As soon as these signs appear, stop the application and leave the area completely undisturbed. Do not use oils or fats, as is customary after blistering. If the animal is severely lame and limping, it should be placed in a paddock or led by hand for half an hour twice a day. If not, it should be exercised gently and gradually every day, but under no circumstances should it be left standing in the stable all day. Warm Reducine® to make application easier.
