- After heating in a water bath, apply to the affected areas INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Remove the lid and heat the poultice by placing the container in very hot water. Mix well and apply a thick layer of the hot poultice to the affected area. Check the temperature of the poultice before application to prevent the horse from being scalded. Cover with newspaper and a soft bandage. Then secure with a bandage. Leave in place for 12 to 24 hours. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary. WARNING: For animal use only.
